Please read this Privacy Policy entirely before use of our platforms and services.  This policy includes the use of all platforms including any Affiliate and Co-brand sites and of which may be represented by a different brand, design and format.

 

All affiliate or co-branded sites will carry notification of Travel Trade Marketplace as the operator entity despite the platform's names. 

When using our platforms, you may be prompted to accept cookies and by accepting them, you also consent to the practices and terms described in this Privacy Policy.  We encourage all users to review this Privacy Policy as updates and changes may be implemented. 

About Our Privacy Policy

When you use our platforms for information or booking, your personal data are held by Travel Trade Marketplace Pte Ltd., a registered and licensed travel company in Singapore.  All data are maintained on dedicated secured servers and shall not be released or shared with any third party, vendors and service providers unless are required by our merchants, for the delivery and fulfilment of services. Further, as a marketplace platform, it is often necessary that our merchants require us to collect certain information based on the format of their system and operation. These merchants are naturally obligated to maintain privacy of data in accordance with their own set of policies, normally stated on their company websites.  If in doubt, please contact us for clarifications.

What data are collected

As a B2B platform, the primary set of data required include information of the company and particulars of staff designated as authorised users.. This information may include and not limited to:

  • Personnel’s name.

  • Personnel’s work title.

  • Personnel’s contact details such as email, telephone numbers, social media account IDs.

  • Personnel’s professional profile in Linkedin as optional endorsement of personnel’s background.

  • Company’s registered name and registration certificate and number.

  • Company’s trading brand or product name.

  • Company’s website and/or social media account.

  • Company’s official registered address.

  • Valid certificates of operating business, permits or licenses.

  • Professional valid trading or practicing licenses as required according to each country's regulation and for certain professions.

  • Declaration of age when required by certain country's laws, type of travel product and service.

  • Other data (such as passport information) only when necessary, again depending on the product and country and type of travel service.

  • Additional information as required by authorities in certain countries or by law when in conjunction with payment and collection and transfer of funds.

Electronic data such as internet protocol (IP) address, browser types, locations, time zones, devices use to access our platforms, web pages viewed, duration of site visits, buffering durations, types of operating systems used, may also be collected by our systems, upon acceptance of our cookies.

Why Do We Collect Personal and Usage Data

We require company and key personnel's data during registration to verify your industry and business segment and to determine if qualify for a buyer or seller account. As a b2b marketplace where private negotiated rates are involved, it is necessary to qualify the company's business background and production capability. Electronically we may also collect digital signatures and data via cookies or other electronic identifiers to understand your user needs and anticipate better interface.

What are our tracking cookies

Cookies are small files which first seeks your permission to be placed onto your computer's hard drive. Upon your agreement, the small file is downloaded to your computer.  Such cookies are intended to enhance your user experiences or help us analyse web traffic and activate applications to better respond to your online experience. The information collected are for analysis purpose and the data are removed from the system.  Cookies can also be used for our online chat support to save you time to repeat entering the same details each time you use such applications.  Overall, cookies help us provide you with a better website, by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you or kept in your computer. You may choose to accept, decline or customise the cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline. However doing so may also prevent you from taking full advantage of the website’s applications and features.

How do we collect personal data

Your personal data are collected via different processes depending on the occasion and type of information and required and may occur online whilst using the platform or offline via a telephone call, email or via third parties verificationsuch as OTP (one time password) via email or SMS (short messages on mobile) or 3DS (3D secure authentication) via mobile phone messaging service. When and the type of data collected range from the time of your application to when make transactions on our platform. Authentication tools are used especially when payments are involved.

Under all circumstances, reasonable efforts are practiced when further verification of information as provided by users is deemed necessary. The information filled when using our platforms may be saved by your computer for future use and it is your responsibility to clear the cache on your computer or devices, so that any previous information last used are not erroneously exposed to other users of the same computer and device.  You will be responsible for all information provided even if it was handled by a third party. When we require any data from you over the phone, it shall not consist of any sensitive information such as your personal IDs, bank account details, credit card numbers or verification numbers (CCV).

How To Protect Your Account Data and Information

Foremost your account log in credentials and your payment details are confidential and should not be shared or allowed to be used by a third party.  Our payment system uses different security protocols such as 3D Secure, Cards In File or multi factors authentication depending on the country of use. There are payment security layers and tokenisation protocols for online credit and debit card transactions as provided by our online payment service providers.  Please follow the instructions accordingly and do not attempt to short cut the procedures as it may interfere with your payment process.  

Indemnity of Data Loss and Damages As a Consequence

It is also important for you to protect against unauthorised access to your user ID and password and as likely to be saved in your computers, devices, and applications. Always remember to sign or log off when finished using our platform and clear your internet browser and cache especially if you share your computer with other users.  These are good online practises to minimise the risks of your personal information being exposed. Travel Trade Marketplace and its platform service providers cannot and will not be responsible for any breach or lost of data resulting in material loss or damage due to neglect or ignorance of data management on your part.

User Rights

You may seek clarity as to what data we hold in our system by sending us an email and with verification of your good self.  Your request will be attended to within 5 working days.  You may also request for your data to be removed only after termination of use, however, please do note that certain data cannot be removed due to the nature of product or service and especially when the product or service are not consumed. When seller or buyer accounts are suspended or terminated, basic data of the company and users cannot be removed for our own security and to fulfil certain legal and administrative obligations.  Users are free to remove their listings at any time from any marketing communications by Unsubscribing to the materials sent from us, however removal excludes any important and necessary communication from us pertaining to account security, fulfilment of services and all matters pertaining to collection, payment or operations related to the fulfilment of purchased products and services.

User rights may differ by countries and under normal circumstances of ambiguity, we apply the general rules in accordance with the Courts of Singapore, being the country of our registered headquarters.

 

Updates of Privacy Policy

From time to time, we may need to update this Privacy Policy as new rules or privacy policies are implemented either by local authorities or as measures to enhance your privacy.  Such changes will be updated in this posting while any significant changes that requires your immediate attention will be notified via your contact

 

details or in the course of your usage of our platforms. Where permissible under local laws, your continued use of the Services, access to our platforms or use of our services, including placing Orders (as defined in the Terms

of Use) on the Platform, or express consent thereto, shall constitute your acknowledgment and acceptance of the changes we make to this Privacy Policy. You also agree to check back frequently for any updates or changes to this Privacy Policy.

 

Who Might Contact You

Under most circumstances, our Business Development and Operations personnel would communicate with you regarding fulfilment, payment and return/refund matters.  The default mode of communication is via email but in urgent cases, we may have to contact you via other communication means, especially when there is no response to our emails.  Urgent matters may require us contracting you outside office hours but due to the nature of our business, this can at times be expected due to different time zones, place and time of travel by the customer. None of our marketing partners or vendors are authorised to contact you at all times. 

 

How Secure Is My Personal Information

We designed and maintained our systems with utmost security and privacy considerations and messages communicated via the platform are encrypted. We work to protect the security of your personal information during transmission by using encryption protocols and software in the processing of your personal data.  We follow the international Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) and are certified before handling credit card data.  We also ensure our vendors and service providers meet the necessary certifications.

 

Our devices offer security features to protect them against unauthorised access and loss of data. If at any time you are unsure or require specific clarifications, please contact our Customer Services immediately before proceeding to use our platforms and services.

Suspicion of data breach or compromise

As our customer and user of our platform and services, if at any time you have reasons to suspect a compromise of the security of your account, data, purchase or communication materials, you need to contact us immediately by email to inform us of your findings or suspicions.
